PREGNANCY TESTS

If you have had unprotected sex, or have missed your period, you might be wondering if you are pregnant. The first thing you may want to do is take a pregnancy test. We offer lab-quality pregnancy testing at our center at no cost. Services are free and confidential.

LIMITED ULTRASOUNDS

If you are pregnant, an ultrasound will help determine how far along you are. We offer limited obstetrical ultrasound to prove the viability of pregnancy. Services are free and confidential.

STI/STD TESTING & TREATMENT

WPCC Medical Services is currently offering confidential FREE testing AND treatment for:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Trichomoniasis
  • Syphilis
  • Hep C
  • HIV

*Hep C and HIV positive tests will be referred for treatment*

 

PREGNANCY COUNSELING

We want you to be informed on all of your pregnancy options. When a woman is facing an unexpected pregnancy, she may want information on abortion, the abortion pill, adoption, etc. It is very important that women receive accurate information in a safe environment. We are here to answer your questions and direct you to the appropriate resources. Services are free and confidential.

PREGNANCY & PARENTAL EDUCATION

Our parenting classes are designed for all expecting moms and dads to provide the basic fundamentals of parenting. Pregnancy, childbirth, child development, parenting skills and more are the focus of these sessions. Services are free and confidential.

PRACTICAL FATHERHOOD INITIATIVE

Choosing the BEST

Choosing the Best is an abstinence-focused curriculum taught in Wilkes County Schools by WPCC educators. Wilkes Pregnancy Care Center partners with Wilkes County Schools to provide medically accurate information on a variety of topics including goal setting, decision making, stress management, mental wellness, substance use, relationships, and sexual health.

MATERIAL ASSISTANCE

We understand that with a new baby comes the need for material resources such as diapers and bottles. When you watch our parenting and/or pregnancy classes, you can earn points toward supplies and baby items as you begin this new journey into parenthood. Also, we can help you with maternity clothing - no points needed. Services are free and confidential.

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE REFERRALS

We understand that often there is more than parenting resources that you need. We work with other local organizations to provide you with the community and financial resources that can guide you into a stable future. Services are free and confidential.

ADOPTION INFORMATION/REFERRALS

Gifting someone with a child is one of the most courageous acts someone can do. However, considering adoption can be confusing. There is a lot information to sift through. We have a network of credible and professional adoption agencies in the area to which we can refer you. In addition to a list of approved agencies, we provide free educational resources.

EMBRACE GRACE

Embrace Grace is a faith-based program offering support, hope and joy for single moms. Make friends in a judgement-free environment with a community of women to provide strength and encouragement. Say goodbye to fear, and hello to hope and joy! Receive a baby shower at the end of the program to help with your baby needs! 

CIRCLE OF PARENTS

Circle of Parents is a weekly parent-led and professionally facilitated support group program that gives parents the opportunity to share in each other's challenges and successes while developing a network of support. Wilkes Pregnancy Care Center is proud to partner with Wilkes Community Partnership for Children to provide this service for our clients. Childcare is provided by WCPC staff members for infants through 5 years old.
